The latest edition of Vinitaly, the international exhibition on wines and spirits held in Verona since 1967, is now in its 53rd year.
This year’s projections are very favourable. The exhibition area, with its 100,000 square meters is the largest ever and the participation is at the highest historical levels: 4,600 companies from 35 countries, for a total of over 16,000 labels of wine and spirits.
There are many news in this edition, and an interest that does not seem to diminish: participation in the event has been sold out since November 2018. There are more than ninety appointments on the calendar and many news, including the exclusive program Taste and Dream and the masterclasses dedicated to artisanal wines.
More than 200 wineries from Campania will be present at this year’s edition: this makes Campania one of the regions with the highest number of wineries present at Vinitaly. It is an important opportunity to introduce wine lovers and operators to the immense oenological heritage of the territory.
Campania is in fact a treasure chest of native vines. An incredible richness that embodies centuries of history and the scents and flavors of a land with a strong and decisive character.
The image of Campania wine is partly linked to the liveliness of its white wines, among which the Asprinio di Aversa stands out. Symbol of longevity, the centuries-old cultivation of this vine has something magical that finds its maximum expression in part in the spectacularity of the viticultural system and in the peculiarities of a unique and refreshing taste.
Drengot will participate in the event with the aim of introducing Asprinio and its cultivation method, the Alberata Aversana. A viticultural system that is now endangered, and that allows the vines to reach dizzying heights and the grapes to acquire a special flavor, given by a maturation that takes place at a great distance from the ground.
It will be possible to taste Drengot wines and have access to our informational material at the pavilion B – booth 121.
We will be at Vinitaly from 7th to 10th April 2019.
