In occasione del Campania Stories i vini Drengot sono stati assaggiati dall’Italian Reviewer Monica Larner. Ecco la sua recensione per la prestigiosa rivista The Wine Advocate Robert Parker
I vini Drengot ricevono un altro gradito riconoscimento dalla critica internazionale. In occasione del Campania Stories che si è tenuto a Cetara, lo scorso marzo, i vini campani sono stati assaggiati dall’Italian Reviewer Monica Larner, che li ha recensiti per la prestigiosa rivista The Wine Advocate Robert Parker.
Un debutto per il nostro Asprinio, al suo primo anno di partecipazione all’evento, in grande stile. Tanti i complimenti e le gratificazioni per un lavoro fatto nel pieno spirito di salvare e recuperare una tradizione vitivinicola quasi completamente estinta.
Quasi tutte le recensioni sui vini prodotte da The Wine Advocate hanno un punteggio di valutazione che va da 50 a 100. La valutazione è il commento dei revisori sulla qualità relativa del vino, percepita al momento della degustazione.
Così come si afferma sulla rivista stessa, i reviewer di The Wine Advocate guardano al vino con uno sguardo duro e molto critico perché preferiscono sottovalutarne la qualità, piuttosto che sopravvalutarla.
I punteggi sono solo di accompagnamento alle descrizioni approfondite che derivano dalla degustazione e che rappresentano il mezzo principale per comunicare il giudizio di qualità.

TERRAMASCA
L’Asprinio Brut Terramasca offre tutta la freschezza del limone e del lime, aromi che si ritrovano naturalmente nell’uva Asprinio, il cui nome stesso si riferisce a “aspro”, o acidità. Quegli aromi di agrumi sono seguiti da sentori di mandorla amara e pinoli schiacciati. Semplificato e fresco, il vino presenta una struttura morbida e un sentore di limone e frutta candita in chiusura. Alcuni di questi spumanti a base di Asprinio della Campania daranno al prosecco filo da torcere. Sono state prodotte 13mila bottiglie.
SCALILLO
Raccolti da viti che hanno un’età compresa tra i 180 e i 200 anni, i frutti dell’Aspirino presenti nello Scalillo 2017 producono nel loro bouquet note di erba fresca appena tagliata e limone. Purtroppo, considerando la preziosa età di questi antichi vitigni, il vino è abbastanza semplice e unidimensionale e probabilmente è servito meglio con finger food o tapas. Ne sono state prodotte 7mila bottiglie.
L’evento Campania Stories si tiene ogni anno in un’area differente della regione, e consente a importatori, produttori, ristoranti, dettaglianti e ai membri della stampa di settore di avere l’opportunità di gustare i migliori vini di questa bellissima regione del Sud Italia.
